Committee Action Plan

Who We Are

We are members of the Society who work in or have an interest in the agri-business area. The committee identifies, reviews and disseminates information with regard to FDA compliance, competitive markets, risk management, diversification and other topics of concern. It is a resource to the NYSSCPA membership regarding developing accounting, financial reporting and related business issues for the industry.

What We Do

  • Provide education to professionals on current trends and changes in Agri Business by sponsoring technical sessions and conferences
  • Monitor new accounting rules or legislation related to the agri-business industry
  • Provide the opportunity to comment upon exposure drafts for new standards, pronouncements or similar documents, as well as implementation and interpretive guidance
  • Afford networking opportunities at committee meetings and education sessions
  • Disseminate information through articles in the CPA Journal and the Trusted Professional
  • Provide technical assistance to the membership
  • Provide forum for open discussion on relevant issues of concern

Who Should Join

This committee is for Society members with an interest in agri-business as well as those that provide advisory services to the industry.
