Committee Action Plan
Who We Are:
The Industry Division Oversight Committee ("IDOC") provides advice and direction to all of the committees in the Industry Division and monitors their activities.
What We Do:
- Act as liaison between the committees and NYSSCPA staff and ensure that the committees operate effectively in achieving their goals and addressing their objectives
- Identify the needs of members in industry and the ways the NYSSCPA can meet those needs
- Encourage participation in NYSSCPA committees by members in industry
- Ensure NYSSCPA provides such members with the services and information required to expand their professional skills
- Periodically review the structure of the industry committees to determine if the structure is still appropriate
- Provide a forum for all members to discuss industry matters
- Act as a catalyst in creating a strong working relationship between the committees and the Chapters
- Encourage Industry Division committees to focus on the views of members not in public practice, and to incorporate those views into the advocacy activities of the NYSSCPA
