The Benevolent Fund was established to provide financial assistance to members and their families in need. The fund includes donations from members. The Board of Trustees for the Fund is the current president of the Society, Nancy Newman-Limata, and the four most recent presidents, P. Gerard Sokolski, Alan E. Weiner, George Foundotos and Barry B. Seidel. They met by phone conference and have voted to offer a $2500, six-month, interest-free loan to any member directly impacted and in need of assistance. Applications are available by contacting Joanne Barry, Director of Communications, at (212) 719-8354 or

We encourage all members to donate to this fund so that we may provide the necessary assistance. Checks should be made payable to the NYSSCPA Benevolent Fund Inc. This fund is tax deductible.
