Former DHB Industries Lieutenant Pleads Not Guilty

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. -- Sandra Hatfield, a chief lieutenant to the former DHB Industries chief executive charged with looting his company and stockholders out of about $200 million to support his lavish lifestyle, was arraigned in U.S. District Court in Central Islip Tuesday on charges of fraud, conspiracy and insider trading, Newsday reported on its Web site.

Hatfield, who was originally arrested in August 2006, had already been released on approximately $3 million bond secured by real estate. Her attorneys requested that she be tried on Jan. 28 following a Nov. 20 status hearing, the paper reported on its Web site.

She entered a not guilty plea on all counts, the paper reported on its Web site.
