CA Begins Major Ad Campaign

ISLANDIA, N.Y. -- CA Inc. said today is it launching a major advertising program to talk up the company, Newsday reported Thursday.

The Islandia, N.Y.-based company said it plans to begin a "worldwide branding program" with a four-page ad in the North American edition of The Wall Street Journal and a two-page ad in the global edition of The New York Times.

CA said that the ads will be followed with additional print advertising in technology and trade publications, online advertising on key business and trade websites as well as a direct mail campaign in additional markets around the world, Newsday reported. The company said that elements of the campaign will be seen in 19 countries.

Michelle Healy, a CA spokeswoman, declined to say how much the company will spend on the ad campaign, Newsday reported.
