Westchester CPA, Denise M. Stefano, Elected NYSSCPA Director as Chapter Representative

NEW YORK - (June 18, 2015) - The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) has elected Westchester CPA, Denise Stefano, associate professor and accounting department chair of Mercy College, to its Board of Directors as a representative of its Westchester Chapter.

Stefano is currently co chair of the Westchester Chapter’s Accounting Careers Committee and the Westchester COAP Advisory Board, and recently became chair of the Chapter’s High School Scholarship Committee. She also serves on the Westchester Chapter’s Accounting and Auditing Principles Committee and is a past chair of that committee.

Stefano was previously a member of The Quality Enhancement Policy and SEC Practice committees and served as a past Westchester Chapter president, president-elect, vice president, secretary and treasurer. She has also served as a PAC Trustee representative for the Westchester Chapter.

Stefano is a graduate of Iona College with both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Public Accounting and Finance/Financial Management. She joined the Society in 1998 and is a member of the Westchester Chapter who resides in Yorktown Heights.
