Westbury CPA, Michael M. Todres, Elected Vice President of NYSSCPA

NEW YORK - (June 17, 2015) - The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), has elected Michael Todres, CPA of Westbury, N.Y., as a vice president of its Board of Directors. Todres is the managing partner of Todres & Company, LLP. His one-year term began June 1.

Todres is a past member of the Community Affairs, Cooperation with the Financial Media, and Entertainment and Sports committees as well as a past member of the Board of the Educational Foundation of the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Todres is past chair of the Management of an Accounting Practice Committee as well as the Manhattan/Bronx Chapter Cooperation with Bankers and Other Credit Grantors Committee. 

Todres currently serves as chairman of the Audit Committee of Temple Emanu-El, located in New York City.

Todres received his undergraduate accounting degree at Bucknell University and his MS in accounting at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Todres joined the Society in 1974 and is a member of the NYSSCPA’s Nassau Chapter.
