Scott M. Hotalen, CPA Elected NYSSCPA Director as Chapter Representative

NEW YORK, NY, MAY 15, 2012 – The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) installed Scott M. Hotalen, CPA of Vestal, as a director representing its Southern Tier Chapter at its 115th Annual Election Meeting & Dinner held at the New York Marriott Marquis on May 10. Hotalen is a partner with Vieira & Associates, CPAs, P.C. in Endicott. Hotalen’s term is for three years and begins on June 1, 2012.
 
Hotalen joined the NYSSCPA in 2001 and previously served on its Board of Directors and was a member of its Not-for-Profit Organizations committee.
 
Hotalen is the current vice president of NYSSCPA Southern Tier Chapter, and has previously served as its president, president-elect, treasurer and a member of its executive board.  Hotalen is a past member of its Young CPAs Committee.
 
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts.
 
He is also current treasurer for Visions Federal Credit Union.
 
Hotalen graduated from Binghamton University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1995.
