NEW YORK - (June 16, 2015) - The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) has elected Patricia Johnson, Buffalo-based CPA, to its Board of Directors as a representative of its Buffalo Chapter. Johnson is an assistant professor at Canisius College and serves as the Program Coordinator for the Forensic Accounting Master's program at Canisius College. Her three-year term began June 1.
Johnson is a member of the Buffalo Chapter Executive Board as well as the Litigation Services, Not-for-Profit Organizations, and Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist committees.
Johnson serves as a faculty advisor to the Networking and Forensic Accounting Committees of the Canisius College Council on Accountancy and is currently the faculty moderator of the Accounting Society at Canisius College. She is a past Buffalo Chapter president and treasurer as well as the past chair of the Buffalo Chapter Not-for-Profit Committee.
Johnson joined the Society in 1977 and is a member of the Society's Buffalo Chapter.
